If you regularly attend Calvary Chapel Redding and are committed to this fellowship as your home church, we welcome you to get involved and to begin serving the Lord. If you are new to the church we ask that you consistently attend for at least 6 months to 1 year allowing us to get to know you and your becoming familiar enough with us that you are able to make a decision to become a committed member of this church. Some positions of service require an interview and Application or Servant’s Agreement be completed and signed. All Children’s Ministry positions require a thorough application with references and background checks. All areas of service on Sunday mornings require you be at both services, attending one service and serving during the other.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY:

There are a variety of ways you can serve in the Children’s Ministry. We view Children’s Ministry as particularly vital. Children’s Ministry leaders have a profound influence in the lives of the children they teach affecting the church, the family and society. If you are interested in serving in the Children’s Ministry please contact our church office to arrange for an interview and obtain a Children’s Ministry Application.

HELPING HANDS MINISTRY:

We offer a “helping hand” to members of our fellowship by taking meals to families when a baby is born, when serious surgeries or illnesses occur and for funerals.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." Gal. 6:10

TAPE MINISTRY:

From time to time we have a need for help in our tape ministry. Some technical skills may be required. Please contact our church office for more information, if you are interested in serving in this area.

OVERFLOWING CUP:

Those who serve in this ministry arrive early to set up and stay through two services to clean up. They attend one worship service and serve during the other service. This is a fun ministry, which offers many opportunities to get acquainted with others. If you are interested in becoming part of this team, please contact our church office and we will connect you with the one who leads this ministry.

CHAPEL BOOKSTORE:

From time to time we have a need for help in our Chapel Bookstore. Please contact our church office for more information, if you are interested in serving in this area.

SOUND MINISTRY:

The Sound Ministry is a vital part of our worship service. If you have experience or technical skills in sound engineering there may be a need for your help. If you are interested in serving in this area contact our church office.

WORSHIP TEAM:

There is a need for vocalists and musicians in several areas. On Sunday morning, Wednesday evenings, adult and children’s ministry, in Home Fellowships and in outreach settings. An interview and audition is required for involvement in the worship ministry. Also see the requirements listed under Opportunities to Serve. USHERING MINISTRY:

Those who serve in this ministry arrive early to set up and stay through two services. They greet people as they arrive, help with seating and pass out bulletins. They also observe during the service for security purposes. They attend one worship service and serve during the other. We currently have a need for additional ushers on Sunday Morning, Wednesday evening and special events. If you are interested in becoming part of this team, please contact our church office and we will connect you with the one who leads this ministry.

CLEANING MINISTRY:

In order to maintain a clean and inviting facility we depend on volunteer help to clean the facility on Friday mornings. This is definitely a behind the scene ministry, but a very necessary one. We so appreciate those who are dependable and willing to show up on Friday mornings to clean as a team. This position requires approximately 2 hours each week, if you are able to serve in this capacity, please contact the church office.

EVANGELISM OUTREACH TEAM:

Our Evangelism Outreach Team meets together several times throughout the month, for prayer and training in evangelism. They go as a team into neighborhoods, parks and other public places regularly for the purpose of one-on-one evangelism. Whether you have experience in evangelism or not, if you are willing to be challenged and grow in your ability share the gospel come and join this group as they seek to fulfill the great commission of going into all the world beginning with our “Jerusalem,” Redding, CA.

SENIORS MINISTRY:

Those involved in this ministry visit Copper Creek Nursing Care, a convalescent home, and Mountain Vista Senior Apartments, once a month on Sunday afternoon providing a church service, prayer and visitation. We have a need for women to serve in this area and also musicians. If you are interested is serving in this ministry please contact our church office.

REDDING RESCUE MISSION:

There is opportunity to serve at the Redding Rescue Mission monthly on the 4th Thursday. We provide worship and a church service. If you are interested in serving in this ministry please contact our church office for more information.
