                                 Who We Are
Calvary Chapel Of Redding has been formed as an independent body of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.  At every level our commitment is to bring the truth of God’s word to bear upon the lives of our hearers in a clear, practical and relevant way. We believe this to be our highest privilege and most important priority in the pulpit, in the Youth Ministry, in Children’s Ministry, in discipleship, and in every area of ministry.

Therefore, we hold very deeply the following four convictions:
  • The Bible is our infallible standard for faith, doctrine, and practice. Those who resist its authority will be blown off course by their own feelings and cultural trends.
  • Knowledge without application is lifeless. In order to be transformed, we must apply and practice the truth of God’s Word in daily life.
  • Application of these principles is impossible apart from the Holy Spirit. While we must participate in change, he is the source of power.
  • The church is God’s intended context for change. God never intended for us to live isolated from or independent of other Christians. Through committed participation in the local church, we find instruction, encouragement, correction, and opportunities to press on toward maturity in Christ.
Our Purpose

Calvary Chapel Redding exists to: "Spread a Passion for Christ And His Word For the Blessing of All Peoples and the Glory of God."  By His grace we seek to accomplish this in the following ways:
  • Exalting Christ by ministering according to God's Word, relying upon God's power for God's glory. (Eph. 3:21; I Peter 4:10-11)
  • Edifying and equipping believers by expository preaching, teaching them the whole counsel of God, so they can live and minister in the likeness of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-16)
  • Evangelizing the lost by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ both privately and publicly in all the world.  (II Cor. 5:18-21; II Tim. 4:5)
